Having spent most of his adolescence in South Africa, Ryan Christian Brown grew up reading myths and fables
of American forests. Having moved to America as an adult, Ryan now uses the nature and world around him to
create art that evokes the fantastical and sublime.

With a strong passion for storytelling and immersion, Ryan has pursued creation in a large array of mediums, working as a one-man studio on many projects. From several animated and film short projects, to photography books and digital and oil painting, to promotional poster and media work.

Ryan spent several years working as a freelance illustrator before and during college, delivering over 40 commissions during that time. Whilst expanding the scope of his skills as a student, he was the primary designer and social media organizer of the SUNY New Paltz Men’s Rugby Club. He was the poster and promotional designer for the Senior BSVA art show, and the Digital Video Art Exhibition. Ryan now looks to join ambitious creative projects as a multimedia artist and designer or create and evoke immersive worlds and stories.
